your thoughts about a game I played recently.

@motion; Not sure why you are hijacking this thread...

OT; yeah, I somewhat agree with the points made. Don't know the opening so can't help you there, other then if you're saying you've studied this particular opening, you should know some middlegame plans (for both sides!). Don't just remember moves, remember WHY these moves are played. :) And find an opening that matches your style, if you want to play attacking chess and not just solid play, maybe the Slav isn't for you.
Ive put some examples of the benko gambit, to ilustrate
DaanNoordenbos post, Beep.
Motion i was more refering to this kind of benko http://www.chessgames.com/perl/explorer?node=44904&move=8&moves=d4.Nf6.c4.c5.d5.b5.cxb5.a6.bxa6.g6.Nc3.Bxa6.Nf3.d6&nodes=10703.11482.11470.95190.95191.95192.95193.95194.95195.95196.95197.95198.44903.44904
Were black has a solid structure and nice compensation with the pawn like open files and better pieces. This can lead to a very promising endgame. And I've recently studied this opening for black and it is just simple good if you don't care about the a pawn

As of right now my reportoir is (with white) always e4 playing Ponziani (e4 e5 nf3 nc6 c3), Sicilian (e4 c5 nf3), Scandinavian (e4 d5 xe5 Qxe5 c4) , Caro-Kann (e4 c6 d4 d5 nc3 xd4 nxd4 bf5 ng3) ,French (e4 e6 d4 d5 nc3) With black against e4 I play Open Sicilian against d4 i play Benko the one mentioned above.

I think these openings are good way to an attack or an endgame were i can out-play my opponents/Draw from worse position
Not sure about 12....Bxf3 how about h6 instead ? I think it is better to employ the f8 knight to a proper duty and organize the rooks and queen for some f pawn push might be better. IMO, the lack of white squared bishop is felt during the middle game.
