First lichess blog post

Chess
I have just seen the lichess community blog feature & so, this is my first blog post!

Hello friends & fellow chess players.
I have just been made aware of this lichess feature from a link from another lichess blog that I stumbled across from a Google search. What a nice feature. I also have a chessDOTcom account (but lichess is clearly the best chess server) & have my blog there, but I only post infrequently & few people know of it. I hope for some more traction here at lichess with this blog & it will be interesting to see if I can get this!

My main chess interest is improving at chess, both for myself & to try & help other beginner & intermediate players improve also. I have some social media chess input with a couple of chess websites, a Facebook page and Twitter account & I have accounts at Twitch chess & hopefully, that covers a lot of online chess ground!

This post is just an introduction. This morning I saw GM Max Illingworth's video about learning 1.e4. He was recommending the Bishop's opening after 1.e4 e5 but I am not sure about that! I vaguely remember GM I Smirnov having a video on the Bishop's opening & I like both these GM's who both do chess improving content. Presently although I have briefly looked at the Bishop's opening & hear GM M Illingworth stating this avoids some lines from the main line Italian opening, I do not see it as any advantage for me, until I know more of the Bishop's opening & then I can compare it better against the Italian opening that I am more familiar with. Make sense? Maybe that is just the way I am (cfBruce Hornsby "The Way It Is" & the way it is!

Well, that is a little introduction to this blog & 1.e4 e5, a mighty chess opening (for both colours). I want to leave a classic game to inspire with 1.e4 e5 & what better than:
Wilhelm Steinitz vs Curt von Bardeleben "The Battle of Hastings" (game of the day Feb-23-2016) Hastings (1895), Hastings ENG, rd 10, Aug-17 Italian Game: Classical Variation. Greco Gambit Traditional Line (C54) · 1-0

Now I want to insert the moves to this game on a replay chess board. How? Let me see if I can paste them in as pgn...

Not sure if this will work...I will post this now & see what happens! Happy chess learning & play y'all!

NB just posted & viewed this & the moves show as text but not with the replay chessboard?! How do I insert a replay board into this post? I put the pgn moves into lichess board editor & I will add a link to that...Steinitz vs Bardeleben

Alright the link goes to the chessboard, but what I want is for the board to display here in the post? Any idea how I do this?
