"Computer gauge" creates lag

In the analysis mode, the "computer gauge" showing the "temperature" of the game (i. e. the bar showing the computer evaluation) makes my computer lag a bit when playing through the moves quickly. When I switch it off, everything runs smoothly.

Does anyone else experience this or is this more likely just my not-that-new-anymore notebook? :p

I do not experience this. Probably is your computer.

The issue you are experience happens because the computer evalutation happens mostly in your computer, that plus some packet transmition to the network for the evaluation to happen. It should hapen in medium old computers.

More probably it's the local evaluation that stresses your browser.

It didn't lag with the local analysis on but the gauge off, that's why I thought it was the latter one.

Anyway, right now it runs smoothly with both local analysis and computer gauge on.
