Well, I not following NBA closely. I know though that Irving and Doncic is to be a fan of this team.
Let me get this straight... if I'm in a bar, and some little guy with a broom tells me he's a curler (is that what they call themselves ... curlers? Or maybe curleymen?) I'm supposed to back warily away while calling him "sir" or "boss" ?

Okay, mate. If you say so.

But I'm frankly much more afraid of the damned Minnesota Timberwolves who I think are going to startle the NBA. Just watch them. They are a well-oiled machine this year.

We shall get a chance to test my perceptions of the matter this very day! In a few short hours they take on the mighty Nuggets who, I believe, are technically favored in the upcoming game.

Last year, the Nuggets showed the world their vast ability, and I felt it coming far in advance. But this year? I feel that the Force is with the Wolves. In hours, we'll see. I could be wrong, of course, unlikely as that may seem to my darling spouse and spaniel. But I can't shake the feeling.

Usually, having mighty nuggets is enough! But this year? I don't care how mighty be the nuggets one has; the Timberwolves are the real team to beat this year, I can just feel it. Sure, the Celtics may disagree. But they're Leprechauns by comparison to the Wolves. Watch and learn, Boston. Watch and learn.

Incidentally, given where they are playing, and at what altitude, even if the Nuggets win it will be like a victory for the Wolves if the game is very close. Nuggets SHOULD smash them. But my bones tell me otherwise. And I have so many bones I can't even name them all.

the nuggets will win thanks to jokic, the team to watch is Dallas, Luka Doncic is in good shape, they are the real outsiders
Oh, Nikola Jokic is the real deal, no doubt. And Denver has other really good players, too. Talentwise, they are probably superior.

But talent isn't all there is to it. We all know of the geniuses who can't seem to get out of their own way and end up renting a singlewide and being forced to drink the cheapest possible ale. Talent yields to the undefinable Mojo, and this year I sense Major Mojo is with the Wolves more than the Nuggets.

The Nuggets are great. But in the just-ended round of the playoffs they made it closer than it ever should have been. That revealed where the Mojo wasn't. To survive in the playoffs, one must battle for every offensive rebound. One must be unrelenting. One must want it with all one's heart and soul and leave it all out on the floor. Perhaps the Nuggets got their fill last year. It's hard to repeat. It's hard to want it THAT MUCH two years in a row.

The Wolves have the Mojo. They should arrive in a cloud of dust visible from miles away, like the Khan himself!

they are not experienced enough, they can be interesting underdogs but I don't see them going all the way, Denver is not tired, and they are motivated for a second title, because Denver was the happy underdog of the year last. and they won't give a gift for someone who has the same goal
