This update was created to adress the issue with different browsers and devices.
Mobile users should love it, because now lichess has adapted to mobile browsers. And that is great!
Pc users on other hand hate it, because now everything is enlarged. It completely breaks the previous user experience pc user had on lichess.
So it is great or awful update depending on your choice of device.
I am pc user, and I wont be using lichess if things wont be improved.
Or we could have a choice of using lichess v1?
Ha, just came here to ask if the site is broken :D Is this intentional?? I instinctively scrolled out to 70% to get the normal view back. The buttons are HUGE, everything is huge. If I would be 90 years old and could barely watch I would love it ;)
I don't care that the fonts have changed a little bit, but please decrease the size of fonts and everything by 30% ;)
Mobile users can use the app, no reason to change the website IMO. On a 21'' screen this looks ridiculous.

I have a problem. When I click on the squares to be paired with another player, any games appears, even if I wait a long time. And in my lobby, there are only anonymous (1500?) everywhere... Can you help me ? I have the last version of Firefox.
Great redesign! But it continues the bizarre "put the hamburger icon at the to left" anti-pattern a lot of apps/sites employ. Like all decent people I'm right handed and I have a 6.3" screen. The top left of the screen is the hardest part to get to. Top right would be better. Try it and see what I mean. Look at the Netflix app for example. Please consider making this an option.
I like that you've changed the clock html structure. Before it was 'clock black and white', so one had to use a lot of javascript to first check the color and then apply userstyles, but now it's possible to just use clock bottom/top.
V2 is just terrible, terrible terrible, ... too stupid changes. I hope they revert it back to old style, otherwise i will levae this portal.
Is there an option to just look at the one game I'm currently focusing on? I have 2 correspondence games on and I can see the top of a second game under the active game. Then when I scroll past that second game I can see a chat room. I'm assuming that's the chat room for the first game, not the one it's physically beneath. It's confusing. And where's the correspondence game analysis mode button gone? It's missing when using a mobile phone, although present on the desktop. In fact, it's missing the back/forward 1 move/start and end of game icons too. You have the list of moves above the board but not the icons, unless you're in landscape view.

The new look is very pathetic, very bad and useless.
The chess board is smaller compared to the size of the clock & the nearby "boxes". Why do we need such a big clock?
Need to scroll down to see the "Crosstable" .
The previous version was the ideal ! I've noticed on several website, when a new version is released most of the features and the layout are made worse though they say it is better now. Funny; same thing happened here in Lichess also.
I hate this new look. Better to rectify it ASAP , otherwise people will stop using Lichess!
