What chess site did you used to play on?

I used to use chess.com, but it was soooooo laggy and just weird UI...
My chess coach at school (chess is a subject at my school) was the one who sent me on the right path to the wonderful world of lichess.

Never played on any single chess site before. I randomly found Lichess while looking for a good spot to play.

chess.com but then I switched to lichess and realized that it was better.

Lichess is the first chess website I started using, and never had to look back or check out other chess sites :D

I used to play on FICS. Then ICC. Then chesscom. Now here.

I don't remember, It was a simple chess website.

FICS of course ... in a far away galaxy.

I also played for a while on a very strange chess site, instantchess.com. It was not bad , many Russians and Americans, a tournament system, a weird looking interface, an app for IOS devices, almost no chat (so quiet). But you had to pay for play. I remember buying a package of 200 games for maybe 10 $. They were giving free games for your birthday, too.

Guess what ? The domain name is for sale ... Darwinism.

instantchess was very cool website -for free U could play but hadnt seen your ranking, only by change in r.of opponent after game U could guess.
U had no control "like a box of chocolade ,U never know .." if next game U get 3min or 10,15m -and waiting for next game one could a bit analise past game.
Inter-face was nice ,very clear , with no ads masking any hoax ;)

(I played on every possible website (since 2005)-catch me with one I overlooked - rather impossible- apart from in local language much different from main european l.)

You say insyantchess.com is a cool site! When I went there I saw that there is the name of the website then a button on which Start Game was written and then The domain is for sale. When I clicked on that button it took me to Lichess.org !Yes It took me to lichess homepage. What a cool chess site!! 😤😤😤
