It's funny to see a discussion about the best players of this website in comparison to players at the Candidates. I think Qwaekula explains it well, although it doesn't have to destroy their play, but many top players do think there are better ways to prepare for games. Matetricks has never had a higher rating than 2202 in real life, the lowest rated player at the Candidates is Dmitry Andreikin (2709 rating). If we look at

I often win against players with about 2200 rating in normal games, but I probably wouldn't even win 2 games out of 100 against a 2700 player.
I liked the second round more than the third, but I'm really looking forward to the fourth round, especially Aronian - Svidler and Anand - Kramnik.
