How to resign?

As a new user, I played a match, and wanted to resign. The only option I saw was to click on the white flag. However, this did not end the game. I see users complaining about people not resigning, but maybe they do not know how to resign either! I searched the Forum several ways trying to find a post related to this and found nothing. And there is no Help area that I could find about how to use this site.
1) How do I resign? Or why didn’t clicking on the white flag do anything?
2) How do I get help for other basic operational questions?

You have to click the resign button (which is the flag) twice. That's to avoid resigning (or offering a draw) by accident.
