Tournament Play with the Pegasus and the new DGT Chess App

I played all my 5 games of yesterday's 2nd Saturday Team Battle with the Pegasus and the new app and it worked pretty well. Let me tell you about my experience.

One word beforehand: I cannot recommend using the "Random opponent" feature in the new app, because I had still some myterious problems with the time control. I used the "Ongoing games" feature and for me it is the only important one.

I always use a second device (in my case, the PC) in addition to the smartphone for the app (and I recommend to do so). There I log in to Lichess as usual. And every game that I start there or a tournament game that starts appears in "Ongoing games". If you tap on it, the app connects the Pegasus to that game and you can play. Even when it failed once and I had to press "retry", I managed to make my first move as required within the first 30 seconds on the Pegasus. (Otherwise I would have done it on the second device of course).

The developers of the new app have paid special attention to increase its responsiveness, and I must say they have succeeded. Of course, you have to execute your opponent's moves, but beyond that, there was hardly any noticeable delay in the transmission of the moves and I had not to struggle with my time.
Only once did the Pegasus not show me an opponent's move. However, it was visible on both screens and I was able to play it and play on without any problems.

Well, I love my Millennium Tournament 55, but when I don't have enough room for it, the Pegasus is a good and, above all, fast alternative.
Short addendum: In the latest beta version of the DGT Chess App (2.0.2) the bugs in the "Random Opponent" feature seem to be fixed. So it is worth to give it a try. Unfortunately, it is only for the Pegasus board, not for the DGT tournament boards.
